Munaza Mir
Vice Principal
After completing her degree at The University of Manchester, Munaza joined GlaxoSmithKline’s graduate trainee program. Driven by a passion for science and a desire to inspire future generations, she transitioned into teaching by starting her career as a Science teacher at a secondary school in Bradford. Her dedication and expertise led to rapid career progression as KS4 Coordinator and later as Head of Science where she achieved an impressive 30% improvement in science outcomes compared to previous years.
In 2015, Munaza became Head of Science at Dixons Kings Academy, where she led the department to achieve outcomes in the top 1% nationally for two consecutive years. After completion of a leadership program, Munaza was appointed Vice Principal. In this role she has worked on a range of whole-school leadership strategies. Currently, Munaza leads the planning of assessments, using data to pinpoint areas for improvement and implementing targeted interventions to drive student achievement. Additionally, she works on improving student attendance by identifying and addressing barriers and implementing strategies to ensure all students are present for their education. Munaza also oversees enrichment opportunities and ensures that students have access to a broad range of activities that support both their personal development and academic success.
Throughout her career, Munaza has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to excellence and continuous improvement in education. At the core of her work is a deep dedication to developing students and bringing joy to their learning experiences.
