Mohammed Sakab

Vice Principal

Sakab has bought his passion for science to the teaching profession. He has been qualified for over 12 years, specialising in chemistry. Prior to working at Dixons Kings Academy Sakab worked in a pupil referral unit where he was able to master the art of being warm strict. Having grown up in the local community, the Dixons Academies Trust ethos - striving to challenge social and educational disadvantage - is at the heart of everything Sakab does.

Sakab was previously the Head of Science for 6 years, creating a high performing faculty with consistently outstanding results. Sakab has had the opportunity to lead on several roles as Vice Principal. Whilst overseeing Teaching and Learning, Sakab led on the alignment of Knowledge Organisers across faculties and the introduction of retrieval practice during morning meetings. As attendance lead, Sakab used the support of all staff to achieve significant improvements with attendance post Covid – an increase of 2.5% within 6 months. Sakab is currently responsible for leading on behaviour and attitudes of students at Dixons Kings Academy.
