Katie Lawrence

Assistant Vice Principal

After graduating from the University of Leeds, Katie joined Dixons Kings Academy as an English teacher in 2016 as a part of Teach First’s Leadership Development Programme. As an advocate of education being the key to success, Katie firmly believes in the mission of Dixons Kings Academy and the value of high quality teaching.

During her time at Dixons Kings Academy, Katie has held various roles including head of year and ITT/NQT coordinator. In 2022, Katie joined the senior leadership team and secured the position of Associate Assistant Principal supporting with teaching and learning across the academy. Since 2023, Katie has held the position of Assistant Vice principal responsible for trainee teachers, early career teachers, new staff induction, the literacy strategy and academy communications.
